Colson Baker, also known as Machine Gun Kelly, is known for his distinct style of rapping. Baker was born in Houston, Texas on April 22 in 1990 to a German as well as an English Scottish family. His parents were missionaries, and throughout his childhood, they traveled extensively together. His dad James Colson Baker struggled with depression and joblessness as did his mother Sonia Alane left them when at the age of nine. Baker's dad moved along with his son to Denver and the family lived at the home of his aunt. Baker was bullied because that he was poor by the other kids. In the sixth grade, Baker began listening to rap. Colson Kelly (also known as Machine Gun Kelly) was born on the 22nd of April, 1990, in Texas. His songs are known for their ability to blend modern hip-hop and rock with alternative rock. Before joining Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010. Delivering lyrics with the speed of a train, this Cleveland rapper saw a meteoric growth in the second half of 2011, when he transitioned from grinding out self-released mixtapes, to signing on reputable labels. The career of the rapper took off from there, with all of his records making the top 10 charts.
