Her career in modeling began from a very young age. In the wake of receiving a scholarship from an event, she took acting classes within Young Actor's Space. Her name was brought to the forefront for her role in the 7th Heaven of WB series when she played the role of Mary Camden. It was an enormous success in this role, but she believed that portraying Mary's image as her image of a "good girl" will limit her ability to be a good actress. She walked out of the show 7th Heaven in season six. In the movie Ulee's Gold, she gained fame for her amazing acting. This movie won her the prize for best Female Supporting actress. The comedy film Summer Catch bears the proof of her incredible acting abilities. The film Rules of Attraction did not achieve much success despite her outstanding performance. The performance she gave as a character in The Texas Chainshaw Massacre, a horror movie, caught people's attention.
