Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on the 1st October 1996. Her work includes actor in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) and Chrissie mayr's Content House 2022.
Asia Argento began her career as an actor at the age of nineteen in Rome. Her family also includes a number of film makers. The Church was directed by Michele Soavi. She was later cast as Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon It was in the film Close Friends written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career took off, and she was able to change from portraying young girls, to more complex, mature role. This movie received a positive response during the Cannes International Film Festival. Daria Nicolodi is Argento's most loved actress, and she played a young anorexic woman seeking to find her parents' murderer in Trauma. Asia was in Dario's Phantom of the Opera, the third film she directed with her dad. The other two were Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. The role she played as Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di the vista, a physically handicapped girl, was a challenging and intricate role, which brought her the David di Donatello award for the best actress. Her film debut was a performance as Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. She worked in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio with Michel Piccoli in which she was awarded an award from David diDonatello along with a Grolla of Oro. Asia started acting as a profession in 1994 and produced two shorts and an episode from De Generazione. The following year, 1996, Asia made a document about her father. And, finally, 1998 was the year that Asia created a feature-length film on Abel Ferrara (AbelAsia), which was recognized with an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia debuted as a director in 1999, with Scarlet Diva. She was also the principal screenwriter and actress. The film was released globally during May of 2000. It won an award in the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
